"Escape the Computer" Manifesto
GuiMags and all the tools that surround
it were invented when our lead UX designer
developed a nasty case of carpal tunnel.
He was looking for a new way to design
software, without using a computer.
Paper
prototyping didn't help much, since preparing
the paper snippits would recuire the fine
motoric movements he was trying to avoid.
After discovering magnets for prototyping,
it would take months to develop magnets
with the right coating and feel to make
it work.
The process was becoming a drag, untill we
discovered how to save about 80% of our time
with them... Design
